Fassi Fihri told the paper's correspondent in New York that Morocco "will not make any concession in this case" where Algeria and the Polisario are using blackmail.
The hunger strike observed by Haidar is not a humanitarian issue because it falls under the umbrella of political decisions aiming to prevent the resumption of negotiations over the Moroccan Sahara, he explained.
Entering Morocco is governed by regulations that should be respected by everyone, Fassi Fihri underlined.
He noted that it is impossible to "succumb to blackmailing", and that Morocco deplores the postponement of the second informal talks because of maneuvers waged by Algeria and the Polisario who continue to undermine efforts aiming to find a political solution to the issue and prefer to maintain the current impasse.
Moroccan political parties unanimously reject succumbing to blackmail, Fassi Fihri said, adding that Morocco is firmly committed to a political solution to the Sahara issue on the basis of UN resolutions.
