Chinese official hails excellent relations between Morocco and China

President of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) Chen Zhili hailed, on Wednesday in Rabat, the excellent relations between Morocco and China.

Relations between Morocco and China are "excellent and will be strengthened in the future thanks to mutual political trust between the two countries," Chen told reporters following a meeting with Moroccan Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Istiqlal party, Abbas El Fassi.
"These relations will be consolidated at the commercial, economic and cultural levels," added Chen, who is also vice chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress (NPC).
During the meeting, El Fassi recalled the political role played by women in the struggle for independence, highlighting their achievements, particularly under the reign of HM King Mohammed VI, in the political, economic and social fields.
The Premier also reviewed the latest developments in the Sahara issue, mentioning the support of the international community to Morocco’s initiative to grant autonomy to its southern provinces.
Chen Zhili is visiting Morocco at the head of a large delegation at the invitation of the National Union of Moroccan women (UNFM), chaired by Princess Lalla Meryem.
During her four-day stay in the Kingdom, the Chinese official will hold talks with several government officials and parliamentarians.
