The talks focused on the excellent cooperation between Morocco and the UNESCO as well as the crucial educational agenda and the current challenges, Bokova said.
In a statement to the press following the meeting, Bokova recalled that her organization sticks to developing the educational system, stressing the need to pursuit literacy programmes.
Earlier in the day, Bokova had met Morocco’s Secretary of the State to the Foreign Minister Latifa Akharbach.
During the meeting, Akharbach voiced Morocco’s willingness to boost and diversify the cooperation between the Kingdom and the UNESCO through increasing joint scientific research projects on subjects of common interest like protecting environment, water, fighting desertification and promoting renewable energies.
