The two-day Forum, which was attended by some 1,700 Moroccan and foreign participants from political and economic fields as well as from civil society, examined notably the Moroccan experience of the far-reaching anti-poverty programme the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH).
The event was also an opportunity to survey the best global practices to promote human development, which constitutes a pressing priority due to the economic crisis and its impact on the South countries in particular.
The opening ceremony was marked by a message sent by HM King Mohammed VI to the participants, read out by Interior Minister Taieb Cherqaoui.
During the two-day meeting, which was organized shortly before the launch of the second phase (2011-2015) of the National Initiative for Human Development, Morocco’s experience as well as other countries’ experiences were examined to analyse human development policies.
