Gabon has always supported Morocco over Sahara issue

Gabon's ambassador in Rabat

- Gabon has always supported Morocco with regard to the Sahara issue, said on Wednesday Gabon's ambassador in Rabat, François Banga Eboumi.

"The spirit of the Green March has always been on our minds and in our hearts. Gabon, my country, lifted its banner high as a tangible proof of our faithful friendship, solidarity and full adherence to the Moroccan cause," said the Gabonese diplomat  at a reception on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Gabon, celebrated on August 17.
HM King Mohammed VI and President Ali Bongo ondimba are working together to ensure that relations between Morocco and Gabon are strengthened further so that "our common future may bear more fruits for our two countries," he added.
The diplomat noted that the sixth session of the Joint Cooperation Commission, to be held late this year in Libreville, "aims in particular at further strengthening the economic dimension of Moroccan-Gabonese ties and translating into facts the strategic partnership framework decided by HM King Mohammed VI and the President of Gabon.
Banga Eboumi extended thanks to HM King Mohammed VI, and his gratitude to the Moroccan government and people for the great esteem enjoyed by the Gabonese community in Morocco, which “feels at home in this country."
