  HM King Mohammed VI chairs opening ceremony of International Agriculture Fair
HM king Mohammed VI, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired, on Wednesday in Meknes (140km east of Rabat), the opening ceremony of the 5th International Agriculture Fair- SIAM (April 28-May2).
 

   At the beginning of the ceremony, HM the King handed certificates and trophies to several personalities engaged in the development of the agriculture field.
    Later on, the Monarch visited the different stands of the show, organized by the Agriculture Ministry under the theme "Sustainable Development".
    Built on an area of 10 ha, SIAM provides an opportunity to establish partnerships between Moroccan and foreign professionals of the sector and highlight the potential of Moroccan agriculture and its role in the national economy.
    Over 500,000 visitors are expected to visit the fair, which brings together 840 exhibitors representing 30 countries.
    The first days of the fair, 28 and 29 April, are dedicated exclusively to professionals, before it opens to the general public from April 30 to May 2.
    A series of conferences and panel discussions led by scientific experts and professionals from Morocco and abroad (Australia, USA, France, Germany) will take place as part of this Fair.
