HM King Mohammed VI enquired, Friday in the Imilchil rural commune, about the 908.5 million DH (118.8 million dollars) education extension project in the eastern Meknes-Tafilalet region.

This ambitious program provides for the building of 86 new schools, 314 classrooms and the construction and expansion of 83 dormitories in the region over the 2010-2012 period.
Covering six provinces in the Meknes-Tafilalet region (Ifrane, Midelt, Errachidia, El Hajeb, Meknes and Khenifra), this project seeks to improve the national educational system in accordance with the 2009-2012 emergency program, which is meant to address educational system malfunctioning, reorganize school life and improve pedagogical programs and management of educational institutions.
The program aims to build 1,246 new schools, 4,745 classrooms, and 846 additional dormitories nationwide.
On this occasion, the sovereign handed over two school buses, as part of the National Initiative for Human Development to promote schooling condition in the region.
