  HM King Mohammed VI enquires about urban development programs of villages in Figuig
HM King Mohammed VI enquired on Tuesday in the rural commune of Bni Tjit (eastern Province of Figuig) about urban development programmes benefiting several villages in the region, for a total sum of 134 million dirhams ($18 million).
 

   These programmes, spanning over 2010-2013 period, will benefit the villages of Bni Tjit, Bouanane, Talsint and Ain Chair, and aim notably to develop under-equipped neighborhoods, main roads, and public spaces.

   The Monarch received details about the comprehensive rural electrification program in the province of Figuig, to which 124 million dirhams were allocated.

   HM King Mohammed VI also enquired about the results of the national program of rural roads in the province of Figuig, which aims to achieve 408km of roads, for a total cost of 223 million dirhams.

   His Majesty enquired about the national program for small mines’ development, which aims notably to develop small mining, promote employment, reduce poverty and fight rural depopulation.

   On this occasion, the Sovereign handed mining and individual protection equipment to professionals in the region’s small mines.
