HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Tuesday in M'diq (northern Morocco), the indoor sports hall "HRH Princess Lalla Khadija," carried out for a total investment of 15 millions dirhams.
 
   - The project reflects the royal firm commitment to promot

ing national sports.

     The Sovereign visited the new sports facility that includes a playground, rooms for gymnastic, fitness, a multi-purpose room, bleachers with 900-person capacity, a changing room, a management bureau, and a parking.
 
    The indoor hall, which is an area for entertainment and organization of sports activities, aims to promote the emergence of new talents among the young generations in the domain of sports.  

    The project, part of the integrated social development plan of the province of M'diq-Fnideq (2009-2012), illustrates the high solicitude that HM the King attaches to the national sports as part of an efficient approach to promote the sector, based on consolidating the large-scale sports development projects and the creation of a favourable environment to sports practice.
 
    It is also part of a policy aiming to develop sports infrastructures in the region so that they could meet the international standards in this area. 

HM the King inaugurates indoor swimming pool in M'diq


HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Tuesday in M'diq, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan indoor semi-Olympic swimming pool, built for a total cost of 19 million dirhams.


-    The indoor pool offers a venue promoting the integration of swimming in school sports programmes.

 
After unveiling the commemorative plaque and cutting the symbolic ribbon, HM the King visited the swimming pool which was built as part of efforts aiming at promoting the practice of swimming and integrating it in school sports programmes.
 
The project is also designed to reinforce the sports infrastructure in the Northern Province of M’diq-Fnideq so as to enable it to host sports competitions.
 
Spanning over an area of 1,500 square meters, the new facility will include a 25 x 16 meter pool, terraces, a fitness room, a changing room, a sauna, a restaurant-café as well as administrative offices.
 
The new sports facility is part of the integrated social development plan for the northern province of M’diq-Fnideq (2009-2012) which aims at carrying out 234 projects worth 527 million dirhams.

HM the King congratulates new Tunisian President

Rabat 
HM King Mohammed VI sent a congratulatory message to Tunisia's new President Moncef Marzouki following his election by the Tunisian Assembly.
 
In the message, the Sovereign expressed wishes of success to President Marzouki in his noble mission serving Tunisia's development, prosperity and stability.
 
HM the King also praised the human qualities of President Marzouki and his commitment to democracy.
 
The Monarch underscored the political process launched by the different Tunisian political stakeholders, voicing Morocco's support for the efforts aiming at meeting the aspirations of the Tunisian people to strengthen the rule of law and good governance.
 
HM the King also highlighted the brotherly ties and the effective solidarity between the Moroccan and Tunisian people, reiterating full commitment to further consolidate bilateral relations with a view to  consolidating the Maghreb union and promote its integration to become a strong regional grouping.
