  HM King Mohammed VI lays foundation stone of girls boarding school in Figuig
HM King Mohammed VI laid, on Tuesday in the Bni Tjit village (eastern province of Figuig), the foundation stone of a girls boarding school, which will cost 2.5 million dirhams (about $ 315,000).
 

   The boarding school, to accommodate 70 girls, will help fight school drop-out affecting particularly young rural girls. It will be built over 560m2 area near the Moulay Ali Ben Al Abid secondary school. It will be equipped with a kitchen, a refectory, a computing room, a laundry room and several other facilities.

   On this occasion, the Sovereign was given explanations on the projects of building an olive grinding unit in the Talsint rural commune and a milk collecting center in the Figuig province.


   The modern olive grinding unit, to cost 1 million dirhams (about $ 126,000), will have a storage capacity of 5,000 litres of olive oil, while the milk center, which will be equipped with sterilizing and freezing technologies, will cost 2.5 million dirhams ($ 315 000).
