HM the King Launches Agropole Project, Enquires about Several Agricultural Programs in Berkane

HM King Mohammed VI Holds Phone Conversation with Saudi King

 HM King Mohammed VI launched Saturday in the rural commune of Madagh (province of Berkane) the construction works of an Agropole and enquired about several agricultural projects as part of "Morocco's Green Plan".

 

    Spanning over an area of 102 hectares, the Agropole, worth some 1.3 billion dirhams (about $ 145 million), is meant to promote agricultural products of the Oriental region.
    On this occasion, the Monarch presided over the signing ceremony of the agreement to develop this Agropole.
    HM the king also enquired about several projects that seek to promote citrus fruit cultivation and the olive oil sector in the provinces of Berkane, Nador and Driouch.
    Benefiting some 3575 farmers, these projects aim at increasing productivity, improving production conditions and facilitating access to markets.

Nador - HM King Mohammed VI held on Saturday phone talks with the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, a statement of the Royal Cabinet said.
   The talks touched on several issues of common interest. They are part of the regular fraternal and fruitful consultations between the two Sovereigns.
    During this conversation, HM the king expressed to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, on his behalf and on behalf of the Kingdom of Morocco, his sincere gratitude for the generous contribution of the Saudi Sovereign ($ 200 million) to Tangier-Casablanca TGV project, which is part of major infrastructures initiated by HM the King to promote Morocco’s overall development.
