Born in Errachidia on December 24th, 1962, Aourid has a bachelor degree in public law and Ph.D in political sciences.

   He served for the foreign affairs department from 1988 to 1992. After spending a career as a political advisor for the Moroccan embassy in Washington from 1992 to 1995, Aourid took the post of teacher at the National school of Administration and at the University of Rabat from 1995 to 1999.

    He also served as the official spokesperson of the Royal Palace before he was named in 2005 Wali for the Meknes-Tafilalt region.
