    The monarch wished the new president and all the members of the party success in fulfilling the aspirations of all the party's militants for solid cohesion between its components to preserve the solidity of national unity and contribute to promoting democracy and development, based on a forward-looking, constructive vision.
    The king also wished the party success in serving the causes of the nation and citizens, commending the attachment of Mezouar and his predecessors to the sacred, immutable values of the nation.
    Mezouar was elected, by secret ballot, with 610 votes against 8 votes for a member of the national council of the party.
