HM the King enquires about progress of health structure rehabilitation programme in Tetuan .
Tetuan - HM King Mohammed VI enquired, on Thursday in the northern city of Tetuan, about the progress of the implementation of the programme of rehabilitating the city’s health structures, worth 36.5 million dirhams.

HM the King lays the foundation stone of a regional centre for physical and functional rehabilitation, worth 10 million dirhams.
The three-year programme 2010-2012 consists of rehabilitating 12 health institutions (health centres, laboratories and different poles of the regional hospital centre).
The city also has a regional hospital centre with a capacity of 350 beds, an anti-tuberculosis hospital (130 beds), a psychiatric hospital (90 beds), 15 health centres, two epidemic laboratories and a reference centre.
HM the King laid the foundation stone to build a regional centre for physical and functional rehabilitation, worth 10 million dirhams.
The project, to be built on 1,500 square metres, aims at improving care for the handicapped, reinforcing rehabilitation and orthopedic actions, setting up a strategy to develop community-based approach to providing care for the handicapped and consolidating the efforts made by the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) in combating social exclusion.
The centre will benefit more than 10,000 people with specific needs.
HM the King inaugurates Tetuan regional psychiatric hospital .
Tetuan - HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Thursday, the regional psychiatric hospital of Tetuan, built for some 14.6 million dirhams.
The hospital will contribute to reinforcing infrastructure that provide care for mentally-ill persons in the region
With a capacity of 90 beds, the hospital is to reinforce the infrastructure that provide care for mentally-ill persons, and is expected to benefit about 2.5 million people.
The hospital, which spans on 1,700 square metres, includes facilities to treat psychotic and neurotic diseases as well as forensic medicine, emergency and consultation facilities, an administrative block and a room for social activities and occupational therapy.
