HM the King enquires about urban development programme in northern Morocco
HM King Mohammed VI enquired on Thursday about the progress made in the urban development programme being carried out in the northern city of Tetouan, worth 1 billion dirham (1 MAD = 0.121739 USD).

The Monarch heard explanations on this 2009-2012 programme which targets 42 under-equipped neighborhoods housing total of 44,000 families.
This ambitious urban development programme seeks to upgrade the targeted neighborhoods and improve the living conditions of inhabitants, through modernizing and strengthening local infrastructures.
The programme will enable the northern city of Tetouan to boost the necessary urban facilities in a bid to attract more investments to rev up the process of modernization and development spurred in the region.
As part of this programme, HM the king launched the development works of a shopping area in the Barbourine neighborhood at a cost of 6 million dirhams.
