HM the King launches works to build ornithological park in Nador, worth MAD
Nador, Oct 3, 2011 - King Mohammed VI launched, on Monday in Nador, the construction works of an ornithological park in Marchica, worth 70 million dirhams.

Stretching on an area of 74 hectares, it will be the biggest park for birds in the south of the Mediterranean.
The park, whose construction works are due for completion in 2014, is expected to attract 150,000 visitors a year, thus contributing to job-creation and to socio-economic development.
HM the King also enquired about the progress of depollution works of the banks of the lagoon. He had presided, last year, over the signing ceremony of an agreement on the depollution of Marchica lagoon’s banks and protecting its environment, for 75 million dirhams.
HM the King chairs signing of three agreements to develop Atalayoun.
Nador, Oct 3, 2011 - HM King Mohammed VI presided, on Monday in Nador, over the signing ceremony of three partnership agreements on the development of the Atalayoun and the two-beach cities and the setting up of hotel and residential tourist compounds.
03 October 2011- The Sovereign inaugurates the new canal linking the Marchica lagoon to the Mediterranean sea, for 380 million dirhams.
- HM the King launches works to develop the two-beach city, for 360 million dirhams.
The first agreement concerns raising the capital of the Med Marchica Company with 200 million dirhams equally by the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development and the Agency for the Development the Marchica lagoon site, to continue the development works of the Atalayoun and the two-beach cities.
The second is a protocol of agreement on a partnership between the Agency for the development the Marchica lagoon site and the National Railway Company to build a hotel and residential tourist compound.
The third is a protocol of agreement on a partnership between the "Atalayoun Golf Resort" company and "Atlas Hospitality Morocco" to build a hotel and residential tourist compound.
The Sovereign inaugurated, afterwards, the new canal linking the Marchica lagoon to the Mediterranean sea, built as part of the programme of developing the Marchica lagoon for 380 million dirhams.
This project is part of an ambitious strategy to preserve the natural resources of the Marchica lagoon, one of the largest lagoons in the southern shore of the Mediterranean, which has special natural assets associated with the diversity of its ecosystem.
HM the King also launched works to develop the two-beach city, for 360 million dirhams. The works are due for completion in June 2013.
