HM the King inaugurates the Mohammed VI Football Academy in Sala Al Jadida

HM King Mohammed VI inaugurated, on Sunday in Sala Al Jadida (near Rabat), the Mohammed VI Football Academy, worth 140 million dirhams ($16.8 million).

Built on an area of 18 ha, the academy aims to contribute to identifying and training future footballers by setting up an educational system combining sport and study.
This system offers a football career for students aged 12-18 or, if need be, the possibility to normally pursue their studies in other institutions.
The new facility has various poles with a capacity to accommodate 60 young persons.
The monarch has decided to provide an annual financial support for the project from HM's own money.
