HM the King lays foundation stone for building livestock production unit in Beni Mellal
HM King Mohammed VI laid on Thursday the foundation stone for building a livestock production unit in the Beni Mellal province (central Morocco).

On this occasion, the Sovereign was given detailed information on this 174 million dirham (about $ 21 million) plant specialised in cattle feeding, fattening and processing.
This project, part of the agriculture development regional plan, will help create about 220 jobs and produce annually 5,480 tonnes of red meat.
This plant, which will enable livestock breeders to modernise services and boost their industry, includes a slaughter-house, units for meat cutting and offal processing.
The Sovereign was also informed, on this occasion, about a project to develop milk-production. This project worth 700 Million dirhams ($ 84 Mln) will benefit some 7,000 cattle breeders.
The Monarch was also informed about the agriculture development plan for the Tadla-Azilal region, as part of the "Morocco Green Plan", an ambitious national program aimed at making the agriculture sector one of driving forces of the economic growth.
