Mostapha Sahel appointed advisor to HM the King

The ministry of Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced, on Wednesday in a statement, that HM King Mohammed VI appointed El Mostapha Sahel, Morocco’s ambassador to France, as advisor to the Sovereign in the Royal Cabinet.
Born in 1946 in El Jadida (190 km south of Rabat), Sahel held several posts, especially as managing director of the Communal Equipment Fund, member of the board of directors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, minister of fisheries, minister of interior, then ambassador, permanent representative of Morocco to the United Nations.
HM the King enquires about progress of development works in the first phase of Selouane Industrial Park, worth MAD 300m

- HM the King enquires about the project of building a business centre, worth 24 million dirhams
- The Sovereign lays the foundation stone of the park’s reception centre, worth 14 million dirhams
The Sovereign received details on this park, which is part of a new generation of integrated industrial parks to accommodate small and medium-sized businesses and industries operating in the sectors of light industries and high value-added technologies, low-waste industries and industrial logistics.
In-site development works of the first phase of the park (roads, waste disposal, drinking water, electricity, telephone) have been all completed, while off-site works, which include telephone lines and drinking water mains, have reached 95%.
The project, which spans on an area of 72 hectares that can be expanded to 142 ha, will eventually attract investments of about four billion dirhams and generate some 12,000 direct jobs.
HM the King enquired about the project of building a 24 million dirham business centre, to be set up on 3000 square metres. The project is due for completion in 18 months.
The Sovereign also laid the foundation stone of the Industrial Park’s reception centre, worth 14 million dirhams. The centre will be built on 2,000 square metres.
HM the King lays foundation stone for youth vocational training center in Zaio
Zaio (Province of Nador), Oct 4, 2011 - HM King Mohammed VI laid, on Tuesday in Zaio ( northern Nador Province), the foundation stone for a youth vocational training and integration center, to be built for a total cost of 19.5 million dirhams by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity .
04 October 2011- The center is part of efforts led by Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity to promote the training and socio-professional integration of the youth.
- The center will seek to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of the Nador Province through offering suitable training.
This project is part of efforts led by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity to promote the socio-professional integration of the youth through providing training. In this respect, this center is designed to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among the youth of the Nador region by offering training in applied technology.
Stretching over an area of 8000 square meters, the new center will offer training to 1000 beneficiaries annually with a view to meeting the needs of the region's economic operators in terms of qualified human resources

The center will house several workshops including those dedicated to mechanical manufacturing, steelwork, plumbing, office automation, applied computer graphics, communication, foreign languages, social work, cooperatives, revenue generating activities and professional integration.
A sports area, offices, and an exhibition hall as well as a multipurpose hall and a multimedia library are also part of the center’s plan.
HM the King lays foundation stone for qualification & integration center for women in Zaio
Zaio (Province of Nador), Oct 4, 2011 - HM King Mohammed VI laid, on Tuesday in the urban commune of Zaio (northern Nador Province), the foundation stone for a women's qualification and integration center, to be completed for a total cost of 2.2 million dirhams.

- The sovereign enquires in Zaio about a socio-educational project, worth 4.2 million dirhams,
- HM the King receives information about a project to develop an ecological and entertainment space, worth around 10 million dirhams.
On this occasion, details were provided to the Sovereign concerning this project which aims at building a multipurpose hall, a crèche, three halls for miscellaneous activities, a kitchen, and three offices.
Stretching over an area of 600 square meters, the new center will be built in 5 months in partnership between the Interior Ministry, the Youth and Sports Ministry and the Commune of Zaio.
The Monarch was also briefed about a project to build a socio-educational complex in Zaio, worth 4.2 million dirhams.
This complex, which will span over an area of 780 square meters, will house halls for projection, reading, sports, sculpture, music, theatre, office automation, and recreational activities will be built.
The new facility, to be ready in 8 months, is designed to promote the socio-economic integration of the youth and reinforcing their capacities.
On the same occasion, details were given to HM the King about a project to develop an ecological and entertainment space in Zaio with a total cost of about 10 million dirhams.
This project provides for developing an area of 2 hectares into an ecological park offering a space for leisure and entertainment for the population of Zaio. in this connection, four gardens will be planted each with a different theme (Andalusian, French, Japanese and Exotic).
A refreshment area, an entertainment area for children, recreational water, fountains, as well as offices will be built as part of this project.
