03 December 2011    In the beginning of the ceremony, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted notably by the Festival’s Director Melita Toscan du Plantier, chairman of the Jury, Serbian actor and director Emir Kusturica, as well as by members of the jury, members of FIFM’s Foundation and Moroccan and foreign actors.

    The opening ceremony on Friday of this major event, held under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, was marked by the presence of a galaxy of personalities from different backgrounds. 

    Upon his arrival to the Palais des Congrés in Marrakech, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid was greeted by several Moroccan senior officials, including Communication Minister, Government spokesman, Khalid Naciri, Culture Minister, Bensalem Himmich, Tourism and Handicrafts Minister, Yassir Znagui.
