In a congratulatory message on the occasion of Algeria's Independence Day, HM the King reiterated strong resolve to work together with President Bouteflika to overcome obstacles and add a new momentum to the fruitful cooperation relations and effective solidarity between the two neighborly and brotherly countries and peoples within the framework of the Maghreban Union, "as an unavoidable strategic choice in a world dominated by strong grouping that leave no place to fragile entities".
This, the Monarch added, goes in line with the loyalty to the blessed souls and sacrifices of the pioneers of the struggle for independence and represents the best response to meet the aspirations of the current generations to further progress, development and dignified life in fraternity, harmony, unity, complementarity and integration.
HM the King also expressed “deep satisfaction over the fraternal and sincere ties and the common destiny of the two brotherly peoples”, and extended heartfelt congratulations and wishes of health and tranquility to the Algerian President and further success in meeting the aspirations of the brotherly Algerian people for comprehensive sustainable development and permanent progress in security, stability and symbiosis.
“I take this joyful occasion to share, with you and with the Algerian people, the feelings of pride in this happy anniversary during which our two neighbourly and brotherly peoples recall the epics of the struggle and sacrifice that brought them together to meet their aspirations to unity, freedom and independence”, HM the King said.
