HM the King receives Interior Minister, Director General of DGSN

HM King Mohammed VI received, here on Monday, Interior Minister Taieb Cherkaoui and Director General of the Moroccan national police (DGSN) Charki Draiss who expressed gratitude to the Sovereign for his majesty's high directives to implement the Dahir (Royal decree) relating to the DGSN and the Staff Regulations of the national police.

In conformity with the Royal instructions, the Dahir aims to modernize the national police, upgrade its human resources and endow it with Staff Regulations that will promote good security governance and take into account the specificities and lofty missions assigned to the DGSN staff, the Minister said.

The Dahir, which was approved by HM the King, mirrors the Royal solicitude towards the national police and his concern to improve their material and professional conditions and social assistance services, Cherkaoui added.

In this connection, the Interior Minister extended sincere gratitude to HM the King for his instructions to set up the Mohammed VI Social Services Foundation for the staff of the national police, he said.
