In this message, Benyahya expressed his heartfelt congratulations and deep respect for the efforts undertaken by HM the king to reinforce the building of the Maghreb, adding that the Union represents the most important strategic achievement of the Maghreb contemporary history and the hope of the region's peoples to turn this grouping into a region of peace, security and development.

    The actions of HM King Mohammed VI and the members of the Presidency Council are bearing the answer to an international context which is calling for more complementarity between member States, he said, adding that these actions meet the ideals for which Maghreb peoples have fought to ensure a prosperous future for next generations.

    He reiterated AMU's commitment to carrying out its mission in a way that materializes the goals laid down in the Union's founding Marrakech Treaty and the related action programme, notably in terms of ensuring further training, employment and investment opportunities for the youth.
