HM King Mohammed VI visited, on Monday, the Oukacha reformatory in Casablanca where the sovereign toured the pedagogical complex of the minors penitentiary and inquired about the results of the socio-professional reintegration system, carried out across the Kingdom by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Inmates Reintegration.
The sovereign visited the vocational training center and the workshops inside the minors penitentiary, where His Majesty awarded certificates to ten of the best laureates.
HM the King also toured a school built by the Education Ministry as part of an agreement with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Inmates Reintegration and handed a high school degree (Baccalaureate) to an inmate.
The Sovereign also inquired about the achievements of the post-prison support centers which are meant to promote ex-inmates’ socio-professional integration.
At the end of His Majesty’s visit, several project initiators were introduced to the Sovereign. They received equipment and financial support to help them implement their projects.
A Moroccan invention consisting of developing a car security system through using mobile phones was also introduced to HM the King.
On the same occasion, HM the King presided over the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between the Foundation, the General delegation of the penitentiary and reintegration administration (DGAPR) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM).
The agreement aims to promote the contribution of enterprises to inmates’ reintegration notably through training and recruiting peoples with profiles that match the employment market’s criterion.
The reintegration system benefits former inmates who initiated an individual projects during their prison term.
HM the King had presided, on May 30, 2006 in Casablanca, over the signing ceremony of several agreements, as part of the Foundation’s new strategy, with the aim of fostering the action of post-prison support centers.

HM the King to preside over new religious lecture Tuesday in Casablanca
Rabat - HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, will preside, on Tuesday at the Royal palace in Casablanca, over a new Ramadan religious lecture.
The lecture will be delivered by Mahmoud Khalaf Jarade Issaoui, Imam and preacher at the Sheikh Abdul Kader al-Kilani mosque in Baghdad, on "The honour given to the woman in the Prophet’s house", drawing on the Koranic verse: "And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless".
