After having attended the final round of the international golf tournament, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid awarded the Grand Prix of the Hassan II Golf Trophy to Englishman David Horsey and Lalla Merieim Cup to Slovakia’s Zuzana Kamasova.
HRH the Prince also awarded to the winners the second and third Prizes of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and Lalla Meriem Cup in addition to the Amateur pro-am Alliance of the Trophy and the Friendship Cup Prizes.
Speaking on this occasion, Chairwoman of the Ladies European Tour expressed gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI and the Royal family for supporting such an international sports event.
For his part, Marketing director of PGA European Tour, Scott Kelly highlighted that “this is the first time in Golf’s history that men and women take part in a tournament in the same city during the same week.”
"This shows the qualities of hospitality and organization which are exposed to the world by the National Tourism Office and a large media coverage of the event,” Kelly added.
The competition was held for the first time outside the prestigious Golf of Dar Es-Salam in Rabat.
Last year’s Hassan II Golf Trophy title went to Rhys Davies of Wales.
