HRH Princess Lalla Amina chairs opening of study day on mentally disabled

HRH Princess Lalla Amina, Chairwoman of Special Olympics Morocco and member of the international Advisory Council of Special Olympics, presided, on Thursday in Salé, over a study day benefiting associations and medico-pedagogical centers of the mentally disabled.

In an address on this occasion, Princess Lalla Amina said the study day is an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and deepen debate on the means to improve the action of associations and centers providing support for the mentally disabled.

The princess also voiced hope to see the meeting adopt fruitful results that would give a fresh impetus to Special Olympics activities in Morocco within the framework of a common cooperation.

In this respect, the Princess recalled the qualitative leaps achieved by Special Olympics Morocco, thanks to steady efforts by associations and centers operating in this field.

Health programmes, the role of the families in terms of follow-up and integration and Special Olympics are among the issues to be examined during the study day.
