  HRH Princess Lalla Salma inaugurates radiotherapy, surgery, intensive care units at Rabat Oncology I
HRH Princess Lalla Salma    HRH Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Association for the fight against cancer (ALSC), inaugurated, Thursday in Rabat, radiotherapy, surgery and intensive care units at the National Institute of Oncology Sidi Mohammed Ben Adbellah.
 

    HRH the princess visited the new radiotherapy treatment pavilion and the different rooms containing newly-acquired radiotherapy devices and equipment.

    The project of equipping radiotherapy units aims at reinforcing the National Oncology institute’s capacities, improving patient accommodation conditions and reducing appointment dates.

    It will enable the institute to take care of up to 240 patients per day.

    The construction and equipment works required a total budget of 27.3 million dirhams (about $3.5 million).

    Later on, HRH Princess Lalla Salma visited the new surgical unit and the new intensive care unit, the equipment of which meet international standards.
