HM The King Launches In Nouaceur Jnane Arrahma Real Estate Project

HM King Mohammed VI launched, on Thursday at the urban commune of Dar Bouazza (Nouaceur province), the Jnane Arrahma real estate project worth 720 million dirhams.

- The project is in line with the royal instructions to promote social housing for the benefit of the underprivileged and people with limited income.

- The project will include 1,314 social housing units (250,000 dirhams).
On this occasion, the Sovereign was given details on the project meant to construct 1,314 social housing units and 380 medium standing housing units, in addition to 204 plots of land (of 160 square meters each) that could generate 1,428 houses.

The project, which will span 24 month, provides for building a mosque, an elementary school (18 classrooms and a multi-purpose room), a sports complex, a trade center (32 shops), and a day care.

It will be built over a surface area of 14 hectares and will benefit 3,122 households.

It will contribute to reducing housing deficit in the Nouaceur province and will enable the underprivileged and people with limited income to purchase decent houses.

HM the King enquires about the programme to develop social and educational institutions of the OCP

HM King Mohammed VI was briefed, on Tuesday in El Jadida, about a programme to develop social and educational institutions of Morocco's state-owned phosphate producer, the Office chérifien des phosphates (OCP), to which an amount of 47.5 million dirhams is allocated.

-    The Sovereign enquires about the OCP programme to improve education conditions in rural areas and prevent school dropout in the province of El Jadida.

-    HM the King awards 10 busses to schools in the province of El Jadida and 200 bicycles to rural schoolchildren.

The programme targets the reinforcement of the OCP’s social and educational institutions through revamping and extending four institutions out of six, building and equipping nine new institutions- of which seven were completed in 2011- in the areas where the OCP operates, namely El Jadida, Laayoune, Safi, Khouribga, Benguerir and Youssoufia.

In EL Jadida, the OCP has an education institution that hosts 1.471 pupils with 18 classrooms for the preschool education and 36 for primary education.

The OCP social and educational institution in EL Jadida houses notably multimedia halls, a music hall, a library, a science laboratory, an infirmary, sports areas, green spaces and a dormitory for nursery children.

The OCP’s social and educational promotion institution in EL Jadida spans over an area of two hectares, of which 8000 square meter is covered. The facility was build for a total cost of 65 million dirhams.

HM the King also enquired about the OCP-led programme to enhance the education condition in rural areas and fight school dropout in the province of El Jadida.

The programme, to which around 47.5 million dirhams is earmarked, provides for a range of actions targeting the provision of transportation means and the development of school infrastructure in rural areas. In this respect, the programme aims at delivering 8000 bicycles to rural schoolchildren and acquiring 72 school busses to facilitate access to schools in the same areas.

Under the same programme, bathrooms will be built in 130 rural schools and other schools will be equipped.

Afterwards the Sovereign visited the different facilities of the OCP social and educational institution of EL Jadida before awarding 10 busses and 200 bicycles benefiting rural schoolchildren.

HM The King Enquires About The 2011-2015 National Initiative For Human Development Programme For The Province Of El Jadida

HM King Mohammed VI enquired, on Tuesday in El Jadida, about the 2011-2015 programme of the National Initiative for Human Development (known by its French acronym INDH) for the province of El Jadida.

-    The Sovereign was briefed about the INDH achievements in the province of El Jadida which were achieved for a total cost of 120 million dirhams.
-    HM the King enquires about a project to build an indoor sports hall in El Jadida, worth 12 million dirhams.

-    HM the King was provided with details about a project to carry out the “Al Moubadara” center for children with down syndrome and autism, to cost 8 million dirgams.

-    The Sovereign inaugurates a 2-million dirham multipurpose center dedicated to women in difficult situation.
The five-year programme will be funded by the INDH with 229 million dirhams which will be earmarked to programmes aiming at fighting poverty in rural areas (110 million dirhams), fighting  social exclusion in urban centers (44 million dirhams) reducing precariousness (24 million dirhams) as well as to the transversal programme (51 million dirhams).

The Sovereign was briefed about the 24 projects carried out by the INDH in the province in 2011. These projects cost 120 million dirhams and benefited a population of 24,000.

On the same occasion, HM King Mohammed VI was provided with details about the results of the first phase of the INDH in the province of El Jadida over 2005-2010 to which 168 million dirhams was allocated.

In this regard, the INDH contributed by 61% in the funding of 204 projects serving 165,547 people. The projects concern the regional programme for the fight against precariousness (40 projects), the transversal programme (112 projects), fighting poverty in rural areas (24 projects), fighting social exclusion and marginalization in urban centers (18 projects), and the emergency programme for 2005 (10 projects).

The funds allocated to these projects are distributed into revenue generating activities (3.84 million dirhams), multipurpose centers (41.21 million dirhams), reception centers (30.35 million dirhams), education (29.6 million dirhams), health(8.05 million dirhams), providing assistance to acquire equipment for basic social services (30.87 million dirhams), reinforcing capacities, communication, technical assistance and studies (11.79 million dirhams), sports infrastructure (10.31 million dirhams) and cultural infrastructure (2.29 million dirhams).
Afterwards, HM the King enquired about a project to build an indoor sports hall in El Jadida, to be completed for a total amount of 12 million dirhams.

The new indoor sports hall, to be ready in 12 months, will stretch over an area of 3000 square meters and will include a playground, bleachers with an 800-seat capacity, changing rooms, a VIP lounge,an infirmary, a press room as well as administrative offices and bathrooms.

The Sovereign was also briefed about the ‘Al Moubadara’ center for children with down syndrome and autism, achieved for a total cost of 8 million dirham as part of the programme to fight social exclusion and marginalization in urban centers.
The new center, to benefit 120 children with special needs, offers workshops in sewing, tutorial and pottery and houses classrooms, a playground, as well as rooms for physiotherapy, speech therapy, an infirmary, sports areas, a refectory, and administrative offices.

HM King Mohammed VI also inaugurated a multifunctional center dedicated to women in difficult situation, achieved within the framework of the INDH for a total cost 2 million dirhams.

On this occasion, the Monarch visited the facilities of the new center which includes sewing workshops, tutorials, culinary arts, as well as computer rooms and the new center includes halls for listening and guidance providing psychological and legal assistance to the targeted category of women and promoting their social and economic integration.
