  Interior Minister receives UNSG Special Representative for Sahara
Interior Minister Chakib Benmoussa received, here Thursday, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for the Sahara, Hany Abdel-Aziz.
 

    During the meeting, Benmoussa reiterated Morocco's will to assist Hany Abdel-Aziz in its mission as the head of the UN mission in the Sahara (MINURSO), the Interior ministry said in a release.
    Benmoussa recalled the situation in Morocco's southern provinces, underlining the will of the Moroccan authorities to make more efforts for the development of the region and the strengthening of regionalization.
    The minister hailed the continuation of family-visit exchanges conducted under the auspices of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) between Tindouf camps and Morocco's Southern provinces, and commended MINURSO's support in this regard.
