International community deems 'unbearable' situation in Tindouf camps, Govt. spokesman

- The international community is convinced that the "unusual" and "dangerous" situation in Tindouf camps is "unbearable", Morocco's Communication minister and government spokesman Khalid Naciri said on Thursday.

Algeria is determined to hinder the mission of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to conduct a census of the populations held against their will in Tindouf camps, Naciri added at a press briefing following the weekly cabinet meeting.

The human rights breaches against the populations of these camps are "systematic" and happening on a daily basis because of the siege on the camps, he said.

Population held against their will in Tindouf camps are exposed to all forms of violence and physical abuses, he said, noting that Morocco, once again, draws the attention of the international community on the "dangerous" situation that prevails in these camps.
