"The Belgian Government considers it important to support Morocco's efforts to find a solution to the Sahara issue and hails the autonomy proposal" put forward by Morocco to settle the 34-year issue, Michel told a press conference, held jointly with Moroccan Foreign Minister, Taib Fassi Fihri, following the 18th session of the Moroccan-Belgian Joint Commission.
         Regarding the advanced status, granted by the European Union to Morocco, Michel said the Belgian government will continue to support Moroccan initiatives to ensure that this rapprochement with the EU becomes a reality.
