Details were given to the Princess on the center's architectural plans and activities program. The facility will be built at the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center for an amount of 36 million dirhams ($3.9mln).
To be built on 4026 square meters, the center's building works will span 14 months and include a screening service for cervical cancer (252,000 women aged 30-50), and breast cancer (155,000 women aged 45-70) aimed at reducing the number of advanced cancer patients, improving therapeutic results and slashing cancer mortality rate.
It will comprise also a surgical ward for gynecologic-mammary cancers which will provide healthcare for 2000 patients per year, and a check-up service for pain treatment meant to conduct 8,000 consultations for pain and screen 3,000 breast and cervical cancer patients yearly.
