The talks focused on the means to consolidate the Moroccan-Russian cooperation in the fields of new technologies, investments, energy and mines, aerospace and transports.
The two parties also examined mechanisms to implement their 2002 strategic partnership agreement.
During this meeting, both officials voiced their countries' common will to give fresh impetus to their cooperation through boosting bilateral economic relations.
On this occasion, Fassi Fihri said that this meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm the two countries' future vision which aims to reinforce mutual trust in
order to promote joint economic, financial, trade, cultural and scientific initiatives.
For his part, Lavrov underlined that the two countries share common stances regarding several regional and international questions and highlighted their efforts to ensure the world’s stability and security.
Fassi Fihri will co-chair, Wednesday evening in Moscow, with Russian Justice minister Alexandre Konovalov the Moroccan-Russian joint commission.
