The NGOs said, in a statement, that they "follow with concern the ordeal endured by Mustafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud" and considered that the forced removal is another violation of his right of opinion and expression.
It is also an abuse of the human rights' values and principles, the provisions of international law and other relevant agreements, the organizations added.
The organizations recalled that, during the period of Mustafa Salma's kidnapping, the Polisario and the Algerian authorities did not allow his family members, both those held captive in the Tindouf camps (Algeria's south-west) and his father who lives in Smara (southern Morocco), and the national and international human rights NGOs to visit the Sahrawi activist or get in touch with him.
The statement is signed notably by the Moroccan Organization of the Human Rights, the Moroccan League for the Defense of Human Rights, the Alternative Forum -Morocco, Al Wasit Association for Democracy and Human Rights, the Moroccan Forum for Truth and Justice, the Center for shared Memory and Future, the Modernity and Democracy Group and the Action Committee for the Release of Mustafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud.
