The Moroccan government and political parties categorically reject all maneuvers of the enemies of the Kingdom's territorial integrity aiming at undermining the negotiation process and the final settlement of the Sahara issue, Fassi Fihri told the press following a meeting with Mexican counterpart, Patricia Espinosa.
Ever since Morocco proposed the autonomy plan to find a final solution to this artificial conflict, the Kingdom succeeded in achieving a coherence between the UNGS resolutions and those of the UNSC, which support the search for a consensual and negotiated solution in a spirit of realism that entirely excludes the option of independence, he said.
Referring to the attitude of Aminatou Haidar, who renounced on November 13 her Moroccan nationality, the minister recalled the unanimity of Morocco's political parties which condemned these acts. "Il is unacceptable that somebody treats the Moroccan passport with contempt," he said.
