Abdoulaye Wade and Ali Fassi Fihri discussed bilateral co-operation in the area of water and waste disposal.
Following the audience, Fassi Fihri said "this initiative is part of brotherly, excellent relations between the two countries and the two heads of state."
He added that he set out, during the audience, Morocco's experience in the management of drinking water, rain waters and waste disposal in the Kingdom's biggest cities.
“The experience of Casablanca and Rabat was particularly appreciated by President Wade who issued instructions to the Senegalese departments concerned to draw inspiration from Morocco’s experience to devise an action plan in this field as soon as possible,” he said.
The official pointed out that Senegal is witnessing “exceptional” development at the economic and social levels, hence the importance of supporting this development through a higher pace in promoting the management of drinking water, rain waters and waste disposal in Dakar.
