The two countries spare no effort in order to achieve their common objectives, Kaplan said in an interview aired by al-Jazeera satellite channel on Tuesday.
Kaplan stressed the reciprocal commitment of Morocco and the USA to counter terrorism, expressing satisfaction with relations between his country and the kingdom, which is annually visited by 100 thousand Americans.
In this respect, he recalled that the Kingdom was the first country to recognise the independence of the USA, adding that Morocco benefits from several American cooperation programmes including the Fulbright study grants and the international visitor programme, which aims at reinforcing ties between Moroccans and Americans through the exchange of visits.
The US Ambassador also raised the importance of the Free Trade Agreement signed between the two countries.
The Ambassador’s spouse, Silivia Kaplan, expressed her admiration for the Kingdom’s traditions and the human relations in the Moroccan society.
She underscored the Moroccan hospitality saying “we are cordially welcomed wherever we go”.
