Princess Lalla Hasnaa, sister of HM king Mohammed VI, has made considerable efforts to serve the Moroccan society, mainly in the social, cultural and environmental fields.
Among her numerous actions aimed to protect the environment figure the Clean Beach Campaigns, launched in 1999 by the introduction of the award of the Cleanest and most attractive public beach in Morocco.
The multiple efforts of the Princess have gained her the title of UN Ambassador of the Coast awarded in 2006 by the UN Euro-Mediterranean environment programme (SMAP III).
Princess Lalla Hassan is chairwoman of several NGOs, namely the Association of Moroccan Villages (SOS-Enfants), the Moroccan Association to fight myopathy, the Moroccan Association for assistance to ill children (AMAEM), the Al Ihsane Association, the National League of public and semi-public sector women servants, and the Moroccan Society of archeology and heritage (SMAP).
HRH is mother of two girls, Lalla Oumaima and Lalla Oulaya.
