Morocco handles issue of occupied Sebta and Melillia with required wisdom and rigour

Moroccan Secretary of State to the Foreign Minister Latifa Akharbach

Moroccan Secretary of State to the Foreign Minister said on Wednesday that the government handles the issue of the occupied cities of Sebta and Melillia with the required wisdom and rigour.

Latifa Akharbach added, during the House of Representatives' question time, that the government spares no effort to raise the issue with the Spanish party and within international forums.
The minister said the government also endeavours to ensure protection of the lives and properties of Moroccans living in the two occupied cities, in accordance with international law and conventions on the status of people living in disputed territories.
The government closely follows the uprising of the populations of the two cities in protest against the Spanish authorities' wicked practices against Moroccans, she said.
