"Despite world crises, Morocco is making progress on the path of reforms with a strong will to modernise its economy," Fassi Fihri said at a TV programme on Morocco's foreign relations aired by Al Oula channel on Monday.
The Minister stressed the importance of the projects launched by Morocco, notably in the fields of infrastructure and telecommunications in addition to the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), underscoring that the pioneering reforms enabled the Kingdom to obtain an Advanced Status in its relations with the EU.
Concerning the situation in some Arab countries, Fassi Fihri recalled that Morocco has always advocated economic integration which would allow for developing the economies of Arab countries in a way that generates opportunities for the youth.
He highlighted that the peoples of the region continue to pay the cost of the non-Maghreb, adding that had there been a Maghreb Union, what happened in Tunisia would not have been avoided.
