Morocco proud of Gulf leaders' clear-sighted approach to promote bilateral cooperation: FM says
Morocco reiterated its "sincere pride" and "deep appreciation" for the lucid and clear-sighted approach of the Gulf countries' leaders "to promote and push our cooperation to promising prospects," said Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri.

Speaking at the meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Meeting in the Saudi port city of Jeddah Sunday, dedicated to examine the entry of Morocco and Jordan into the organization, Fassi Fihri stressed that the Council’s initiative reflects the joint determination to deal with the current and future pressing challenges with boldness and effectiveness to be able to cope with the regional situation and interact with the current issues at the age of globalization and regional blocs.

Morocco considers that this initiative will be a factor in “defending our Arab and Islamic positions and protecting our spiritual identity, closing our ranks and accelerating our efforts to promote a comprehensive Arab integration,” said the minister who led the Moroccan delegation at the meeting.
