MAP's managing director, M. Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, took over the presidency of AMAN from the representative of the outgoing presidency, Jean-Pierre Gallois (AFP).

    The ceremony was attended mainly by Moroccan Communications Minister, government spokesman, Khalid Naciri.

    Gallois said that the members of the Alliance are confident that MAP is willing to continue the efforts aimed at bringing news agencies' professionals in the Mediterranean closer together and promoting co-operation between them.
