Morocco's autonomy plan, 'suitable solution' to solve Sahara issue, Italian official

Minister of International Cooperation of the Italian region of Tuscany, Massimo Toschi described, Saturday in Laayoune, Morocco's Sahara autonomy initiative as a "suitable solution" to reach a solution to the Sahara issue.

Toschi, who is currently on a visit to the southern city of Laayoune, highlighted Morocco's achievements in the southern provinces in various fields.
Speaking to the Press following a meeting with the Wali of Laâyoune-Boujdour-Sakia-El Hamra region and Governor of Laayoune province, Mohamed Jelmous, the Italian Minister called for reaching a solution to the disastrous situation of the sequestered population in Tindouf, noting that the women and children of these camps live in "alarming" conditions.
This requires an urgent intervention in order to put an end to this problem, he added.
