Morocco strongly condemns Israel's demolition of old hotel in Al-Quds
Rabat - The Kingdom of Morocco strongly condemned, on Tuesday, Israel's demolition of the old "Shepherd" hotel in East Al-Quds.

A statement by Morocco's Foreign Ministry said that "the Kingdom of Morocco, whose Sovereign chairs the Al-Quds Committee, considers this illegal act as a new stage of the Israeli expansionist plans aiming to judaize the holy city (Al-Quds) and undermine its authentic monuments, in view of the historical symbolism of the targeted area."
Here follows the translation of the Foreign Ministry’s statement
"Following the demolition by the Israeli forces of the “Shepherd” hotel in the Arab neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah in East Al-Quds, the Kingdom of Morocco, whose Sovereign chairs the Al-Quds Committee, strongly condemns this iniquitous colonialist act.
The Kingdom of Morocco considers this illegal behaviour as a new stage of Israeli expansionist plans aiming to judaize the holy city and undermine its authentic monuments, in view of the historical symbolism of the targeted area.
This vile act is, once again, a proof of the implementation by the current Israeli government of its colonial policies and unilateral practices in a flagrant challenge to the principles of the international law and legitimacy, which further threatens the chances of peace, security and stability in the region.”
