Morocco to take part at Paris Summit on Libya

Morocco's Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri

Morocco's Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri arrived Friday evening in Paris, where he shall represent Morocco at the Paris Summit for the Support to the Libyan People, at the Invitation of France's President Nicolas Sarkozy.

 

    The summit will examine the implementation of the UN Security Council's resolution to support the Libyan people, in the presence of the Arab League, European Union and Africa.

    The meeting, due on Saturday afternoon at the Elysee Palace, shall be attended notably by President Sarkozy, Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
