Morocco's airspace will not be affected by volcanic ash cloud

- The Moroccan airspace will not be affected by the ash cloud resulting from the volcanic eruption in Iceland, a statement from the Ministry of Equipment and Transport said on Tuesday.

A meeting was held on Monday to examine the direct impact caused by the closure of several European airports for security reasons (France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and England) on flights to and from Moroccan airports.
Morocco's flag carrier (RAM) restarts limited flights to Europe as European airports reopened and made tentative steps toward resuming flights on Tuesday.
The European Union said that if weather forecasts confirm the skies are clearing, air traffic over the continent could return to about 50 percent of normal levels.
