New Sahrawi party claiming democracy set up in Tindouf camps
The Saharawi Democratic Rally The Saharawi Democratic Rally (RSD), a new political party that has just been created in the Tindouf camps (southern Algeria), proposes to Sahrawis "a future based on democracy, justice and freedom," to definitively end the "tyranny" of the polisario, who proclaim to be the representative of the Sahrawi people.

During a press conference, on Friday in Paris, the spokesman and co-founder of the party, Salah Khatri, said that the RSD supports "a consensual political solution” to the Sahara issue "that takes into account the interests of our region, the Maghreb."

The RSD primarily campaign for the establishment of democracy in Lahmada camps, said Khatri.

The "polisario is becoming a problem for the Sahrawis," he added.

Internally, the polisario has established its authority on the basis of nepotism, tribalism and corruption, Khatri stressed.
