The resolution was adopted, by 122 votes in favour out of 230, on the basis of a report presented by the reporter of the Commission on political issues Luca Volontè.

The vote  and the debates took place with the attendance of a Moroccan delegation led by Lower House and Upper House Speakers, Abdelouhad Radi and Mohamed Cheikh  Biadillah respectively.
