PM calls for speeding up social integration of past rights violation victims
Prime Minister Abbas El Fassi called on Wednesday for speeding up the implementation of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission (ERC)'s recommendations relating to the social integration of the victims of the past rights violations.

In a meeting on the adoption of practical measures to implement the ERC's recommendations, Morocco's Premier underlined that social integration is a key recommendation of the ERC, hailing in this regard the commitment, and constructive cooperation between the government and the Human Rights Advisory Council (CCDH) to compensate the victims of past human rights abuses.

He said the victims have received financial compensations and benefited from medical coverage in conformity with the compulsory medical insurance code (AMO).

By the same token, the Premier recalled that the government settled the administrative situation of the submitted cases of victims by reintegrating the concerned in their jobs.

The meeting focused on the methods and principles to be followed in the implementation of the social integration of the victims, in a way that guarantees their social stability.

To this end, regional commissions will be set up with the contribution of the CCDH, the private Sector and the civil society, to help achieve the social integration and ensure the follow up of medical and psychological support.
