Palestinian official denounces Spanish news agency's exploitation of Palestinian children pictures
The chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat The chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, strongly denounced, on Saturday in Tangier, the exploitation by the Spanish news agency "EFE" of the pictures of the Palestinian children victims of Israeli aggression, claiming falsely that these photos are from Laayoun (southern Morocco).

Following a meeting with Morocco's Foreign Minister Taib Fassi Fihri, the Palestinian official condemned this "disinformation act" which aims to distort the Kingdom's image.
This is a desperate attempt to exploit the Palestinian cause and mislead the international public opinion, Erekat said, underlining that this maneuver is an "unacceptable and unfounded instrumentalization."
"I saw the EFE's pictures, they well and truly come from the Gaza Strip and not Laayun,” he pointed out, reiterating the Palestinians’ support for the significant efforts made by Morocco to settle the Sahara issue through dialogue and peaceful means.
“There is no need to make a comparison between the events in Laayun and war crimes committed by Tel Aviv against the Palestinian people living under the yoke of Israel's murderous occupation,” the Palestinian official underlined.
He also strongly condemned EFE’s failure to respect the journalistic ethics and professionalism.
